RICH Transiting the Panama Canal - 1968

Here are some photos of USS Rich transiting the Panama Canal March 31 and April 1, 1968.

Ltjg Jeff Hare dug them up a few weeks ago. His father was a Panama CZ  (US) employee when we transited and has whole family lived in the Rodman at the Pacific end. Somehow USS Rich was the first ship in the Division (of four DDs) to lead the way through the Canal.
