The Reunion Committee has, over the past year or more, pursued the possibility of having a ship’s reunion this coming Fall in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

It now seems clear because of Covid-19 restrictions and health care concerns we would not be able to have our typical reunion with the camaraderie we have enjoyed in the past, including our hospitality suite where we gathered to catch up, swap stories and enjoy food and beverages and generally were free to interact with each other. 

Further, 76% of our members in response to our “Would you attend survey” indicated they would not attend under the restrictions we anticipated would be required and for general health reasons and concerns.

Therefore, the Board has determined not to go forward with a reunion for 2021.  The Board will be revisiting our options for 2022 and hopefully, we will be able to have a somewhat normal reunion as we have been accustomed to in the past, at a time and location to be determined.  The Board will keep you advised.

We look forward to 2022 with the hope that our country will return to some semblance  of normalcy  thus allowing us to return to what we all have come to know as “A great time was had by all”.
