From Chuck Weber, your Veteran Service Officer... |
Federal Benefits for Veterans, Dependents and Survivors |
Ever
wonder where you can find out about all of your benefits as a military
veteran? Does it seem a daunting task to find someone who can fill
you in? Are you frustrated with the never ending changes? Always
calling the wrong number for help?
One-stop shopping for an updated overview of
all of your federal benefits, and how to get into the system to use
them, can be found at
www.va.gov/getstarted
.
The
Federal Benefits
Handbook will give a synopsis of each program as well as
contact info for your local VA offices. This used to a printed
book that was updated annually and could be picked up at any VA office.
The online version is much more current, but a few printed copies are
still available at the VA. The
Welcome Kit/Quick
Start Pamphlet will help you navigate the VA for your
benefits. Both publications are easily downloaded and printed.
